Go Ahead and Share Your Big Idea

Do you have a big idea for your company?  Something that your company should have done years ago, but for some unexplained reason haven’t?  It’s probably something so simple, well, at least to you.

So my question to you is why haven’t you shared that big idea with someone?  Why haven’t you raised your voice and told someone – your boss, a peer, a superior – about that idea of yours?

Only you can answer that question, but I’m here to convince you to forget all those excuses and just go for it and start sharing your ideas more freely.

Why?  Because while you might have a great idea, it means nothing and helps no one if it stays inside your head.  So go ahead and share it.  You might get laughed at, your idea might get cast aside, but maybe, just maybe you’ll find a supporter, someone who loves the idea and wants to help you put it into action.

Share your idea.  Share your vision freely.  You’ll pick up allies along the way and instead of having an idea for the rest of your life, you’ll be thinking about the cool things that started to happen to you the moment you began freely sharing your great ideas with others.

And if you’re afraid of getting laughed at because of your ideas, realize that it’s normal to feel this way.  Just remember what good old Albie Einstein used to say: Great ideas often receive violent opposition from mediocre minds.

If that doesn’t work, here’s another one for you….

“Daring ideas are like chessmen moved forward; they may be beaten, but they may start a winning game.” – Goethe
