Rest More Whenever You Can

There’s a temptation to fill in every free moment of your time with work or play.  There’s the pull of your laptop or smart phone to connect you to the internet.  You have endless TV shows on your DVR that you can watch.  There’s a friend you want to call or you’re planning on running errands.
When you feel like you have some free time on your hands (stop laughing, everyone has some downtime), instead of reaching for your computer, smart phone or remote control, head to bed.  Better yet, take a nap right there on your cozy couch.  If you can fall asleep in 5-10 minutes, your body needed the rest.  Especially during this time of year, a little extra rest now and then will do wonders for your body and your mental state.
